The Beachcomber International - Coolangatta.

We are now well settled and have enjoyed our first 2 nights, slept well in a comfortable bed. The Main road which can be a little noisy is somewhat quieter and we sense the imapct of the pandemic on commercial and tourist operations remains an active and important issue.

It is apparent that there are less young adults and late teenagers around the area.

The Resort is not full but about 90 % and is predominantly people like ourselves (grey nomads but travellers without caravans). The Surf Club is full of these types both local and from interstate.

The Twin Towns RSL Club which is a very large complex is still somewhat quiet. They have reduced the amount of free shows. Ken visited yesterday, renewed/ updated his card and commented that the only very busy area was the Sports lounge with the jumbo screens which were showing Rugby and AFL.

He had a drink and left.

All in all a very good start.

Dinner tonight was in-house with a Cold Chicken Salad and then ice Cream.

We are very relaxed and comfortable.

A good start. We love the area and the environment.

Just about to have a morning coffee. Cheers!!!
