Conrad Orlando - Florida - A beautiful Resort.
We had picked up our Alamo Rental Car from MCO Orlando International Airport. We experienced some difficulties with our Tom Tom Go 20 GPS and finally used Google Maps.
The drive from the Airport to the Conrad is abourt 25-30 minutes mostly on major freeways. The first couple of days driving on the other side of the road can be a little stressful, but this proved to be relatively easy. We took our time and then turned off the main road and into a Resort / new development area, and came to a barrier and we then found out that the Conrad Complex was within the Evermore Resort and Estate area. It is a relatively new upscale development which has been flooded by wealthy millennials.
We drive into the hotel area and are greeted by a staff member who checks our car into the Valet area (there is no alternative) and then ushered to the Check in desk.
As Hilton Honors Gold we are treated very well, ushered through the queue and then ushered to our room after the usual mandatory issues. The Conrad hotel Orlando is just a stunning hotel built around pools and outdoor area.
Our room is stylish and contemporary. We were again offered updates but as we are only staying the one night before we drive to Daytona Beach on Friday morning , we see no need.
The room is terrific, the king size bed is wonderful, we are plainly exhausted and just want a cool drink, a hot shower. And a good night’s sleep.
We check in at 8.20pm, a little later than we expected, but there were some delays. We shower and are in bed about 9.30pm and sleep very well. We wake at 6.15 am and Jeanette goes back to sleep until 7.30am.
Breakfast is enjoyable. Not many staying in the hotel last night and the breakfast area is quiet. There are 2 major conferences and the hotel is booked out tonight (Friday) and all weekend.
Our late check out is 12.00pm and we have a drive of less then 2 hours to our resort at Daytona Beach.
We will come back to this beautifulConrad hotel in future.
So morning comes very quickly after we both slept very well in the comfortable;e King bed in Suite 561 at Conrad hotel , Orlando.
Ken woke at 6.15am and then got up at 6.30am to check emails and other matters. Jeanette slept in until almost 7.20am.
We had a beautiful breakfast at the restaurant including a superb omelette. The coffee was freshly percolated.
After breakfast Ken went to take more photos and arranged for a late check out at 12.00pm.
The following photos define the superb lake and swimming area both by the pool and on the beach and lake.
This has been a short but very enjoyable stay and we are somewhat recovered from the long and tiring flights from Melbourne to Sydney and then to Los Angeles and finally the Orlando International airport and the drive from there to Conrad , Orlando.
We are feeling much better!!
