Morning Walk at Coolangatta and The Beach House and afternoon visit to Royal Pines for golf and a Drink

The weather has changed and there was rain overnight but we awoke to a morning which was cloudy but dry.

We went for a walk and then Ken took photos of the games area at our Resort.

Then morning tea.

The area where the Coffee shop and Bar are located has been totally refurbishes as has the outdoor pool area.

It is an attractive recreation area overlooking the Coolangatta Surf Beach.

We enjoyed our morning tea appreciating that we were to have an early lunch to allow Ken to then drive to Royal Pines for golf timed for 1.20pm.

Ken departed after a sandwich lunch to drive to Nerang. The GPS said it was 33 minutes but Ken knew his way and despite the major roadworks on the Pacific highway he arrive at 1.00pm for his tee time of 1.20pm and found that he was paired with a golfer from Northcote , Victoria who lived near Northcote Plaza.

The weather has improved with overcast skies and sunshine attempting to break through.

Royal Pines is a beautiful resort style course. We are scheduled to play the front nine on the green tees and then the back nine on gold tees.

We both play off 21 and Paul is a bigger hitter but is inaccurate. Kenn plays well and has 17 stableford points on the front and an even better 19 points on the gold back nine. We played off the white tees.

The golf was fine trhe company enjoyable and we both enjoyed a lovely day of golf.

Then a photo of my shot of the day on par 4 with a distance of 126 metres I used a 6 iron to place it almost next to the pin. It was an uphill put from 6 feet which obeyed and resulted in a pleasing par on a tough hole.

This is indeed a beautiful course, challenging but fair

My second shot on the par 4 was a 126 metre soft 6 iron to 6 feet from the pin. I made the putt and was very satisfied.
