Singapore and Sentosa Island - visit to James and Rachael Walker.

We caught a Taxi from The Carlton Hotel to Sentosa Island and then to their apartment in the Seascape Towers and condominiums.

We has specific entry instructions from James as to entry into the foyer in the garage and then to come up in the elevator to their apartment.

We had stopped at Wine Cellars at Sentosa cove to purchase a bottle of Red from Southb Australian hills for James and I purchased a replacement bottle for me to take board the cruise ship tomorrow.

James met us and showed us into their apartment with the most stunning water views. It is a wonderful view across the water to the Straits between Sentos Island and the Indonesian mainland. You find yourself engrossed in the outlook.

We also met Myra their beautiful lab who gave us a friendly greeting.

Ken took photos and these are below.

We were taken by golf Cart/ Buggy named “Bob” through the marina to Greenwood Fish Market Restaurant where we enjoyed a lovely meal consisting of Calamari and Battered Prawns for a starter and then Barramundi and Chips and Salad, washed down with a couple of glasses of White wine (Sav Blanc).

The meal was enjoyable with excellent company and we recognise what good friends they are to David. This is the first occasion that we have met Rachel despite having heard so much from David.

She is lovely and obviously very good for James. We find James easy to get along with and still built like a greyhound. He talked of his recent feats in completing half- Ironmen , rides and swims and competitions. He obviously works hard at his general fitness and has plans and aspirations to do more of these events. The last was at Busselton, WA and did well recording a good time.

Follwing lunch we walked to await our Grab/ Uber back to the hotel.

We were aware that they have a special dinner tonight at “Lukes”a favourite and a specialised Steak house. We thanked them for a lovely afternoon and it was only upon reaching the Carlton Hotel that we realised that James had also paid for the Uber / Grab.

This concluded a lovely afternoon . We are so glad that we decided to catch up with them.

Some beautiful photos and we took several as we left Sentosa and returned to the City of Singapore.
