We visited a school established by our guide to give students a foundation in English as a language as well as studies using computers.
This is a foundation supported by Viking river Cruises and additionally passengers visit and make donations and contributions. there are now in excess of 400 yearly pupils enrolled to progress and grow their skills.
Jeanette had 2 girls for the visit and Ken had 5 boys all in their age group of 13-15.
This was an afternoon visit on 17th October 2023. Enjoyable and you can see the desire to learn and the opportunity to teach basic English and Computerr skills to give therm a benefit.
This is in addition to their usual morning studies at State school. cost for this is US$600 per annum,
Our guide named Sim is an impressive leader and teacher. He holds Masters and PHD and is now seeking to progress studies, whilst working to enable a Professors role at a Cambodia University in English Language and literature and to continue his leadership process in the teaching of the next generation .
