Kristiansund , Norway 2nd September 2022.

Kristiansund is a city and municipality on the Western coast of Norway in the Nordmore districyt of More og Romsdahl. It was officially awarded twonship in 1742 and is still a major regional town. The Kristiansund town is still the major commercial centre for the region. It has a population of some 18,500 people. It was named after the Danish- Norwegian King Christian V1 in 1742.

It is a stunning city situated on 4 adjacent island and is surrounded by stunning scenery.

The city is also home of the stunning and scenic Atlantic road, reputed to offer the worlds best and most scenic road trip through spectacular scenery and winds its way through various islands lined by a variety of High and Low Bridges.

We do undertake an excursion though this whole area and take in the wonderful views. We do stop to take in the stunning view of the high Bridge. Unfortunately, Ken stumbles on a Footpath with a number of small hidden steps, but he is alright. We sense after his fall in Oslo he has lost some confidence. Needs to be careful.

Then back on the bus and we drive to see several older churches in smaller communities.

We returned to the ship following an excellent excursion and we enjoyed both the travels, the beautiful scenery and the company of several groups. We also visit the village and area around Kvernes.

Late lunch followed in the Buffet and the service and food was just right.

We had an ice-cream walking back from the rear to the font of the ship.

Ken then took a book to the beautiful library, whilst Jeanette decided to have a sleep and try to throw off this sinus. We are worried that her sinus is not improving and she has developed a deep cough. If this continues she may need to visit the doctor at the Ship’s hospital and Medical centre.

We also watched a special television event with the lift off of Artemis launch from Cape Canavaral. It is a special NASA television event.

We shower and change early as we intend to go the drinks 241 in the .Bar bewfore dinner with people who we have met and enjoy.

We enjoy the music and piano player and a couple of drinks before we have dinner in the Dining room. we enjoy another special meal of 3 courses. The food and service is outstanding and we meet 2 other couples from Boston and New Hampshire. A great night,, no politics ands plenty of laughing.

Then the show tonight is a magician doing a whole range of actions and magic moents. The show is really well attended.

We are back in our suite by 10.30 pm. This has been a most enjoyable day.
