Zambezi Queen and 3 wonderful Days on the River and daily searches for Animals- Superb.
We were taken by boat to a staging point where we boarded another boat and sailed for 20 metres to board the Zambezi Queen.
Our luggage had been taken ahead and was in our suite.
We were given a hearty welcome by the staff.
The ship is almost extravagant in its fit out and the cabin is superb. We commenced with a superb luncheon. This is all inclusive and we enjoyed a superb South African white wine from Stellenbosch ( Sav Blanc). Following lunch we unpacked and then it was time for afternoon tea, before we all ventured off on little water rubber ducky type boats.
The afternoon was sprinkled with many different animals from the Rhinos to the Elephants and then some lions and of course the ubiquitous hippopotamus and Buffalo.
There are many versions of water Lilly’s in flower. We see several crocodiles and we are advised and instructed not to go near the edge.
A fascinating 2-3 hours in the boats and the hip[pos and elephants are the stars of the show.
The following photos reflect our time on the Zambezi Princess and the wonders of nature and wildlife.
