We have had several busy days and after our somewhat disappointing day in Manila which was cut short in time today is another Sea Day, where we are cruising the South China Sea from Manila across to Vietnam. It is an opportunity to catch up , relax ad in our case visit the laundry and get all of our clothes clean and up to date.

This is also a day where we can relax in the afternoon and this evening we have guests joining us for Champagne and Canapés pre dinner.

Our Butler will look after everything.

We commence the day with breakfast in the Grand Dining Room then there is a short interdenominational church service which the Cruise director, Paul takes and does well. There are about 45 in attendance. they prepare an order of Servie, we sing two hymns and then he gives a talk / speech as to a Bible story for about 10 minute. The Servie lasts approximately 30 minutes.

ATV 9.30am Jeanette goes to visit the Coffee Chat and Needle point group vin horizons (level 15) and Ken goes for a walk around the ship.

At 10.30 am we attend the Future Cruise presentation and find it worthwhile. C there are about 400 people in Attendnace. We we have cancelled cruises for October and November 2024 on Vista and then Marina. The first was cancelled due to the War in Gaza etc.

We are sailing on Sirena in July and plan to sail again in early 2026.

Ken watches a movie in Riviera Lounge early afternoon after lunch in Wavers Grill (unusually very busy)

Then we have a rest , read a book and then shower and change.

Our guests arrive at 5.30pm and our Butler has set up our Suite beautifully with chilled Champagne, some gin and tonics as well as Canapés and other light snacks as well as all the knives etc.

We enjoy a lovely 90 minutes, with Valerie and Stan before they depart for dinner in Jacques and we then go to the Grand dining room. There was a min or stuff up with our table bookings.

After a superb meal, good wines and excellent company we arrive at the Theatre for a presentation and show by Monique Lualhati, a vocalist from the Philippines. Off to bed at 10.45pm after an enjoyable day at sea.
