Departure from Melbourne on Grand Princess 3rd January 2023

We have experienced a continuous stream of email advices from Princess Cruises over the last few days advising that our arrival time has been rescheduled on a couple of occasions to a later schedule to allow the ship’s crew to undertake a deep clean as there have been several cases of covid-19 on the prior cruise.

Gavin now picks us up at 3.45pm and we travel to Station Pier and are dfelighted to see the Grand Princess moored and there is a bevy of activity. We are dropped off with our luggage and commence the process to complete the medical requirements including presentation of the RAT completed earlier in the day. We have to drop off our luggage for it to be taken by stewards and then it will be delivered after scanning to our suite.

We are in the Green line (as Elite Princess Circle members) F Group which is scheduled for 4.30 pm entry and processing. We then, having dropped off our cases, then proceed to security.
