Our Last Sea Day - Plenty of Activities and Lovely Warm Sunshine.

Having enjoyed a wonderful day in Edinburgh with Tom and Veronica today could have been a let down as we are preparing to end our cruise and then to progress to the next phases of train travel and river cuises through eastern Europe on the beautiful Danube.

But we woke to a beautiful morning of clear blue skies, not a cloud to be seen and a chancve to hacve a late breakfast in the Grand dining room and then poartke oif the range of games . All thorouglhy enjoyable. Ken went up to the top deck and played mini golf and putted for about an hour and then we had coffee and cakes with fellow travellers from USA.

Then there was a morning tour presentation for those doing an Oceania tour in Hamburg or nearby.

We have arranged for a driver to pick us up and then do a 3 hour tour of Hamburg and then get us to the Station.

We enjoy our last luncheon at Waves an outdoor hamburger and grill station where we have a salad and burger and finish off with ice cream in a cone. Ken had a steak fillet with a lobster tail and said it was superb. We do enjoy Oceania.

The afternoon comes and goes quickly, as we receive some washing, do a load ourselves and at 4.00pm we start to pack our cases. We have to leave our cases outside the suite door by 10.00pm. That is easy for us.

Come 5.30pm we go to listen to the string quartet play a variety of music and they are joined at 6.00pm by 2 singers who put on a 25 minute show. Then we \go to the Lounge area and have a drink with friends.

We dine in the Grand dining room and meet 2 other couples and we have a great meal , then sit and talk until about 9.20 pm before wandering off to the Theatre for a final show and to say good bye to some people and crew members. The Crew put on a show all very good, but a clear signal that the cruise is ending.

We have enjoyed the cruise in every way. The ship is comfortable , the suite/ cabin very good, whilst the bathroom is small but manageable. The food and service excellent. A good range of interesting passengers.

The itinerary just amazing. The Icebergs just unbelievable, Ice Floes were a high light. The dramatic scenery was a shock and we felt that Iceland an Greenland were unestimated in our views. A tough hard people who make the most out of the dramatic climate changes.
