Our Holiday Summary and Highlights

We hav enjoyed almost 6 weeks of an amazing holiday to Africa with visits to South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Namibia with a variety of outstanding resorts and Safaris to a variety of areas where guides have given us memorable experiences of animals from every environment.

The planning of Ramona Cilliers and her team at Go2Africa has delivered everything that we desired.

The decision to intersperse breaks following 6 days in the camps and outback proved essential.

The quality of the 5 and 6 star camps was enjoyable and memorable.

There were highlights galore.

The experience at Victoria Falls was just amazing as was the helicopter flight over the falls at a time of record floods.

Wonderful to see and enjoy lunch with Elli, a dear friend who we will remain in contact with.

Our time back at Sanctuary Chief’s Camp in the Ockavango Delta was special and then to travel into Namibia with the Desert will remain as favoured memories, especially the flight over the Desert sand dunes for close to 100 km to the Coast.

We love Abu Dhabi and our stay at the Shangri -la is always a favourite.

Then to conclude we used a week’s time share, which we had outstanding to stay in Bangkok at Marriott Vacation Club at The Empire Place which was a beautifully presented one-bedroom unit (serviced Daily) as our base to explore and enjoy our time in this amazing bustling city.

During this holiday we celebrated our 50th Wedding anniversary in many appropriate ways.

We have a wonderful enduring relationship , grateful and blessed, which we hope will endure for years to come.

As a closing comment this has been a once in a lifetime holiday and probably our final visit to Africa. Simply superb!!!
