Depart Bath and Travel to Oxfordshire and Check in to our Home for the next 3 says in Oxford
We depart Bath and drive to Oxfordshire and then we have to find our Rental property in Oxford. We have booked from 19th September Departing on 23rd September 2022.
The drive is not long but is challenging and we are thankful for the GPS. We travel via highways and major roads. It is a quick trip. Our Checkout was late which made our life easier.
The weather is sunny with occasional cloud cover and a few isolated showers. We aim to check in and then to do some shopping
We eventually arrive having been circling the city via the ring road. We are in an excellent location the shopping centre is some 500 metres away and it is excellent with 2 supermarkets. We first have to find the car park at the rear of our property’s general area. Turns out we need to unpack and take in through the Back gate. The parking area is fine and easy to navigate.
The home is lovely with 2 bedrooms upstairs, one modern bathroom and than downstairs we have the kitchen , lound room and storage. The only issue is that the stairs are steep. Probably too steep, but we will make this work. We are greeted with wine and cheese and pate and biscuits. Everything is comfortable and modernised. We are quite pleased with the place and the excllent location.
Late afternoon after shopping for a few things we then plan a bigger shop tomorrow. Dinner is out at a local pub and very good.
Ken has also walked some 2-3 mile taking photos.
It has been a great day. All has worked well apart from the difficulties of coming off the inner circle ring road to fid our rental property.
It is many years since we have been in Oxford. Ken completed a short Management Program here at University College ans is pleased to be back.
Our visit is of course seriously constrined by the Royal Funeral arrangements. We will elaborate as we progress.
