Return to Melbourne with a Sea Day . Comfortable pleasant return.

We Depart from The Port Lincoln wharf after a lovely day at 7.00 pm with a slow and enjoyable sea voyage throughout the evening and then over the next 24 hours with scheduled arrival on morning of 9th January 2023 at 7.00 pm.

The ship is abuzz with activity and there are many options as far as entertainment.

The sea day, to Jeanette and Ken, is enjoyable and relaxing, it is near perfect weather with people out by the pools, taking in the sun on the sun decks.

We dine again in the Crown Grill following the departure from Port Lincoln and have a superb meal. The entertainment is the Elton John mimic and singer and dancer and he is pretty good. The next day we relax and enjoy ourselves with a late breakfast, salad for lunch then dinner at Alfredo’s Pizza restaurant.

On the last night, there is the Captain’s Circle Cocktail party where the Captain addresses the loyal customers/ cruisers. they present a bottle of champagne to the three guests with the most days sailed. On this voyage, there are approximately 700 guests who have sailed regularly.

At this function in the Vista lounge at the aft / Back of the ship, there are approximately 500 people out of the ship’s population of 2500 passengers.

The most days belong to a couple from Melbourne with 1157 days, second is an American couple with 1025 days and the third is a South Australian couple with 764 days. This is our 20th Princess Cruise and some 228 days.

We enjoy the Captain’s address and the singers and dancers, the canapes have disappeared but it is good to listen and hear from the Ship’s executive. We have been loyal to Princess but we are now more committed to Oceania depending upon itineraries.

The ship berths at Melbourne’s famed and historic Station Pier at 6.45 am on 9th January 2023. We have breakfast in the dining room and then prepare to disembark by waiting in the Explorer lounge on Deck 7. We are scheduled to depart at 9.00 am but we are called at 8.40 a very orderly departure, exit through customs and collect our luggage from the pier and then exit and await Gavin who pick us up at Station Pier at 9.02 am. Just the total opposite of the shambles we experienced in November.

we arrive home in Wheelers hill at 9.35 am and enjoyed a very good 6 days with Grand Princess.

No complaints apart from the dress standards in the specialty restaurants and in the Main dining rooms. Service was good, the ship very comfortable our suite first class.

The singers and Dancers again present a production show.
