Flight Singapore to Melbourne (Singapore Airlines SQ 227) and home to Wheelers Hill
We left the Conrad at 6.15pm after checking out, being picked up by our Blacklane driver, Vin, a new Mercedes E class. The trip was slow as it was peak hour but we arrived before 7.00pm , where checked in very quickly, made our way to the Kris Lounge and relaxed. We were both tired, the last 2 weeks have been tiring, but wonderful to visit these spectacular cities.
Our love of Singapore is always a wonderful way to conclude a trip even after almost 10 weeks.
The flight, is a regular for us , departing slightly ahead of schedule at 9.55pm.
We had decided that we would have a meal, before sleeping until the early breakfast.
The meal is first class, Ken is up to enjoy some French wine and we are in our beds, which have been turned down , by 11.45pm. We sleep soundly until about 5.00am. There is then the quick breakfast.
We landed in Melbourne some 35 minutes ahead of schedule.
We then passed through immigration using the new system ( through in under 5 minutes), collected our luggage and then got into the queue where you declare items. We had some sealed goods, but got into the incorrect queue and wasted an hour.
Gavin was waiting having sent a text. Jeanette apologised. It was her / our mistake and we didn’t need to declare.
The trip home took 45 minutes, dropped off at 10.30am.
A great holiday, the house looks good. Always nice to be home. Thanked Gavin.
