Travel from Penang to Langkawi Malaysia and stay at The Danni Hotel
Well we have experienced real issues with flights over the last 24 hours, with drama with the flight from Ho Chi Minh to Penang on AirAsia flight, which was delayed 3-5 hours and then today with a major storm in Langkawi preventing landing and after 2 failed / aborted attempts we returned to Penang to wait out the storm and wind.
Fortunately Firefly ( Malaysian airways subsidiary) took us back to Penand and we flew out at 3.30pm and landed 40 minutes later after the 25 minutes airtime flight.
All good but particularly the first attempt was a little hairy.
We were picked up at Langkawi airport and our driver and Horel reception member then drove us the 25 minutes to The Danni Hotel.
Jeanette was tired and slept on the later flight.

So we eventually arrived at their superb hotel after a three hour delay. The hotel is stunning and I will add photos of the pool area and grounds. We are both tired and looking forward to an early dinner and a very good night’s sleep.
Dinner tonight is in the Terrace Restaurant and is Italian by taste. We book for 7.00pm and as this is a shoulder period at this resort it is not crowded.
The meal is superb and we have 2 courses of pasta and then Chocolate Lava Cake with Ice-cream .
Ken enjoys Chilean Malbeck red wine and very good.
We are asked to conform our afternoon tea booking together with the included spa treatment and lunch and dinner on separate evenings.
We will visit the famed Langkawi Cable Car vtomorroe ( Monday morning)..
