We drove almost 50 minutes to meet at 11.45am at Filomena Cucina Rustica Italiano at 13 Cross Ken’s Road, West Berlin New Jersey.

It was a typical Italian Restaurant and we werec delighted to meet Peter and Wendy and we talked non stop before it was time to order what turned out to be a spectacular meal.

We started with Bruscetta and Calamari then had a main course (entree) of Chicken Parmigiana for Ken and Eggplant Rolentini for Jeanette and both were superb.

The conversation covered our travels together on various cruises and then separate travel plans which we have undertaken since we were last together some 7 years ago , pre the Covid pandemic. They are well although Peter experienced significant Health challenges with some heart issues earlier this year. All seems fine now.

We just get together and seem to pick up where we left off. They are good friends, good people who we get along with and very much enjoy their company.

We finished the lunch and then proceeded to travel back to Marriott Fairways Resort here in Galloway. It was a very good drive, along excellent highways . We came back and then visited the Supermarket for a small number of items.

We reflected how fortunate we have been to build long term associations with some lovely people.
