The Langham Gold Coast Residences (Suite - 2503) - Superb.
We vacated the Beachcomber at 10.05am on Friday morning and after checking out we then drove to Danger Point intending to watch the Waves and the Surfers but there was no parking so we decided to return to Coolangatta, park the car at Woolies in the Strand and then visit the Surf Club for Cappuccinos, before we then had lunch in the park looking out over the Surf Beach. The waves were rough and the surfers were finding it uncomfortable and the temperature was cooled from 27 Degrees by a cool southerly wind which was at times quite strong.
However, the weather became even cooler with rough Squalls and we decided to drive to Broadbeach and see if we could check into the Langham at say 2.15pm. The drive from Coolangatta to Broadbeach took almost 40 minutes with the roadworks associated with the extension of the Tram to Burleigh Heads.
We were delighted to be advised that our Suite (2503) in the Residences was available and we checked in then self parked the Vehicle in B1-99 and then caught the lift only to find that our keys would allow access. We returned to the Reception area had our 2 card-keys re keyed and then caught the lift to thje 25th Floor.
We were greeted by a stunning view over Broadbeach and Surfers Paradise. Our Suite is a one bedroom residence with lounge, separate kitchen, full ensuite and king-bed Bedroom overlooking the Beach. There is also a small study overlooking the beach and then across to the hinterland. It is quite simply stunning and farbetter than we had imagined. Ken said we were doing something special and this has surpassed our appreciation of the “Luxury Escapes” deal. We are delighted.
Our package includes drinks each evening , one full dinner, daily breakfast and car parking on B1.
The following gallery of photos represents a sample of the Hotel and it’s facilities.
We decided against eating in within the restaurant. So we went out and drove to the Pacific Fair shopping centre and purchased some food and drinks.
The Weather has remained windy and with occasional showers and there is a further improvement over the days ahead.
We spend the night in our Suite and enjoy the meal and then watch the Port Adelaide and St Kilda AFL match which was a real grind.
Asleep by 10.45pm after another great day .
We awake to a pleasant morning with bright sunshine and clouds out over the ocean. The views are simply spectacular. The Bed was dreamy comfortable, although Jeanette didn’t sleep well. Ken did sleep comfortably and very well.
We awake to sunlight, many people walking along the Surfers Paradise beach and we stand outside on the balcony taking photos before we then go down to enjoy a superb buffet breakfast.
Ken takes photos of the beach and the breakfast area. Then upon completing breakfast he takes a photo of Jeanette at the telephone box with the beautiful flowers.
