13th and 14th November, Drive to Orlando FL and fly to Phoenix AZ

We checked out of Bluewater after a most enjoyable week and drove 2 hours after stopping for gas, then had a brief stop for morning tea.  Jeanette had driven off the Island and drove almost to Jacksonville and we experienced several light showers of rain. 

Ken then drove the remaining 2 hours 40 minutes into downtown Orlando arriving at Embassy Suites by Hilton at 3.15 pm.  We checked into a 2 room suite , then unpacked a little gear for later and tomorrow.  We attended happy hour and then had dinner in the restaurant in the hotel. 

We both slept really well, woke to sn overcast and warm morning.  Following breakfast Ken walked for over an hour around downtown Orlando and across to the Amway basketball centre and around the Elle Lake, before returning to pack. 

Departed the hotel at 12.15pm and travelled to the airport and dropped of the rental, Jeep Patriot, then made our way to terminal B. We were too early to checkin for 10 minutes, so waited then we were quickly processed and then through security using our pre TSA.  It makes it so much quicker. 

Our flight to Phoenix departs at 5.20pm arriving a little after 8.00pm with a flight change.

We are looking forward to seeing Peter and Wendy, then making arrangements for the next stretch to Santa Fe.

This has really been 2 days of travel to get us from South Carolina to Scottsdale, AZ.
