24th October 2018 Disney Dream Visit to Castaway Cay ( their own Island)

We awoke as the Disney Dream docked at Castaway Cay, although David and the family had been awake earlier.

The weather was initially overcast, but would Subsequently clear to a perfect day.

We departed the ship following a family breakfast. We exited the ship and the. Walked from the wharf to the first of the activities and entertainment events.  We were able to secure deck chairs and seats just up from the beach. There was great excitement with the boys running around and we temporarily lose them as they excitedly run some 300 metres up the beach.

Chris locates them brings them back with a stern warning.  There are nearly 2,800 guests of all shapes and sizes on the beach and doing other activities.  There are many water activities to be part of.

We have a great day with a whole range of activities.  A highlight was the inflatable that Seb was using, that got blown away and despite Chris swimming after it, to no avail and it was blown some 800 metres away.

It was also a lesson as to how dangerous the winds can be.

Lunch was served at one of several bbq areas.  We had a lovely meal.

An exciting day and the following photos depict.

Tonight was Pirates night with many passengers dressing in amazing outfits for the concert of pirates, then the deck party.

Our boys all wear their masks.  The day on the Pirates Island at Castaway Cay had been a great success.
