The Beach House - Coolangatta. 12th-19th April 2024.
We checked in at 3.15pm after an enjoyable lunch at the Coolangatta Surf Club. Check in is usually at 4.00pm but we were allowed the earlier check in. This worked really well for us.
The Unit is 1101 and is a corner Unit of 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and lounge, kitchen area. It has been fully renovated and updated over the last several years. We look out over the Coolangatta Beach and Kirra Hill and the other end from our bedroom is over the Maint Street of Marine Parade.
It is very comfortable has every mod con that we need including Fox for the AFL.
Weather has been beautiful with 22-27 degrees Celsius and clear blue skies although a change is due late Saturday.
We are about 25 minutes normal driving from where we stayed at the Sofitel Hotel last night.
We enjoyed the flight with Jetstar, the car Rental pick up went smoothly and our one night at Sofitel was very good.
The weather has been exceptional and even through there is an expected cooler change with some showers it is unlikely to impact us.
Ken has booked golf for Monday and Wednesday at Coolangatta Tweeds Golf club with a cart each day. He is looking for another game on the Thursday. Tuesday we are thinking of attending a morning show at Twin Towns, Jeanette will check that out and decide and then we will likely do another show next Saturday evening.
It is relaxing and Ken is off to the Gold Coast Suns vs Hawthron Hawks at People’s First Bank Stadium later this afternoon.

Our accommodation in coolangatta at the Beach House- Just Great.
So we are now well settled and have a beautiful apartment and weather is warm at 24-27Degrees Celsius.
This afternoon Ken walked and then prepared for his travel to the Football to watch Gold Coast Suns and Hawthorn Hawks.
Jeanette returned and prepared a sandwich for Ken. She also took photos of the superb sunset..

Sunset at Coolangatta.
Ken departed through the Gaeage and then drove up the Pacific Highway ( still many roadworks ) to exit 73 and to Nerang.
He parked in the “Blue” Car Park and this was a wise decision as all parking was pre sold and sold out.
Ken arrived at the ground at 6.30pm and was in his seat on the wing at 6.40 with 50 minutes until the start. A near perfect evening with everyone in shirtsleeves and shorts, although as the game progressed most people put on an extra layer of clothing.
The Game commenced in perfect conditions and Gold Coast - suns were simply too good for the Hawks.
Ken left at 10 minute mark of the last quarter and arrived home in some 45 minutes. It was an easy drive.
The following photos are from the Ground.
After a good night’s sleep we woke to another beautiful morning and it is interesting to see the Surf Boats out and about and training being undertaken by the youngsters. “Nippers” and their coaches.
A quiet day today. Have had a brilliant first few days here on the Gold Coast at Coolanagatta
